Bad news as three Man United players out of Tottenham Hotspur game: official

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has provided update on the injury front ahead of his side’s Premier League outing versus Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night. The Red Devils suffered no setbacks during last weekend’s FA Cup game against Yeovil Town, and the manager is content to have a nearly full-strength squad to pick from.

Speaking to MUTV, Mourinho said that it is a good problem to have with numerous players having returned from injuries over the course of January, he said: “Sure. The real headache is when you don’t have the players, so when you have so many injuries then you are in trouble. When almost everybody is available and the quality is high, these are the good problems to have.”

Daley Blind remains sidelined with a knock sustained earlier in the month whilst Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly are the other long-term absentees, though the pair are due to return to first-team action prior to the Champions League tie versus Sevilla in February.

United have picked up five wins in succession across all competitions, but the Spurs game remains their toughest challenge yet with the north London side unbeaten in five previous meetings in their homeground versus the Red Devils.

Despite this, United will be backing to continue their impressive record at the Wembley of late, and the signing of Alexis Sanchez adds the extra bit of awareness required in the opposition half to create more goalscoring opportunities.
