Barcelona are reportedly planning a £60m bid to pursue Anthony Martial from Manchester United during the summer.
The Frenchman has had a top season with United this campaign, but his future remains uncertain, having started just two Premier League games since Alexis Sanchez’s arrival.
As a result, there has been plenty of talk of him leaving Old Trafford with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur all said to be interested in his services.
According to The Mail, Barcelona have become the latest club to express an interest in Martial with Ousmane Dembele likely to make way from the Catalan giants.
Martial’s future has been a topic of speculation over the past few months, but the gossip has rather intensified in recent weeks with Mourinho reluctant to play the Frenchman from the off.
Meanwhile, United are yet to resolve the attacker’s contract which expires at the end of next season, and there is a realistic chance that the 22-year-old could be sold in the next transfer window.
Martial has been restricted to just 35 minutes of Premier League football since February, but he could earn a much-awaited start against Bournemouth on the road – on Wednesday night.
I will strongly advise Barcelona against making such move. For crying out loud, what does Barca need Anthony Martial for?!
