Transfer: Man Utd held talks to sign £158,000 a week playmaker, were offered £52million star – Journalist
As per the latest update provided by Florian Plettenberg, the 19-year-old star could end up securing a move to Manchester United next year.
The renowned journalist told Sky Sports:
“He is an upcoming superstar player and I am totally convinced he will leave Dortmund in 2023. Maybe to Liverpool, maybe to Manchester United.
“I think these are two teams who can have very good chances to get him. Amazing player, amazing character, very good mentality.”
Bellingham can effectively play anywhere in the midfield. In the last campaign, he directly contributed in 20 goals in all competitions for the Signal Iduna Park outfit.
As far as this season is concerned, so far, the Three Lions player (15-caps) has netted 2 goals in 8 appearances for BvB.
Man United have not replaced record signing, Paul Pogba, as yet and if we can get the England international, it would be a massive signing.
It will be fair to say that to lure the teenage sensation, the Red Devils must earn a place back in the UEFA Champions League.
This season, we are taking part in the Europa League and without CL football, it might be impossible to sign a player an ambitious player like Bellingham. Things could be different in 2023.
His current contract with Borussia Dortmund will expire in 2025 and reports indicate that the youngster could cost (Marca) around 100 million euros (£86.7million).
