According to reports from the Daily Star, Manchester United have abandoned their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose.
Luke Shaw has not been able to prove his worth since arriving to Old Trafford back in 2014 for a whopping £30million and on the evidence of last season; the defender seems to have lost the faith of manager Jose Mourinho.
Therefore, there has been widespread claims that United are currently in the market to sign a new left-back this summer and Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent times.
To further fuel the speculation linking him to United, Rose was interviewed criticizing Tottenham for their stingy approach in the transfer market as well as in terms of handing out wages to the players and he had also expressed his desire to make a move to the North of England.
However, the Daily Star have now gone on to claim that United will not be pursuing the services of Rose and this has allegedly paved the way for defending Premier League champions Chelsea to pursue the controversial England international.
