Today, as per Manchester Evening News, Man Utd have finally agreed a deal to sign the 16-year-old from Watford.

MEN claim the Old Trafford outfit will have to pay the Hornets a compensation fee to lure the teenage defender this summer.

Renowned journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed that the deal is done and Amass is all set to sign for the 20-time English champions.

The youngster mainly plays in the left back role and will have to prove himself in the Youth squad before getting a place in the first team.

Under Erik ten Hag, Luke Shaw was our first choice left back in the last campaign. On the other hand, Tyrell Malacia, signed last summer, proved to be a quality back-up.

Brandon Williams is another option but the 22-year-old, who has made over 50 appearances for United, did not even feature in a single senior game in the 2022-23 season.

His contract with the club will expire next year and it will not come as any surprise to see him leave in the current transfer window.

Amass is all set to become our first signing of the summer but the team needs to land a proven quality star to delight the Old Trafford faithful.
