Blow for Man Utd? Liverpool looking to sign £45million player

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Numerous top stars have been linked with a move to Old Trafford and one of them is Porto center half Eder Militao. Three days back, Portuguese source Correio da Manha reported that the Red Devils are strongly linked with the starlet.

More recently, Transfer Market Web has claimed that other big clubs like Liverpool, Roma, Dortmund and Man City are also looking to sign the Brazilian international.

The Anfield club have the best defense in the league. After 19 games, they have just conceded 7 goals. The signing of Dutch superstar Virgil van Dijk in January 2018 has done them a world of good and if they can get Militao as well, then this will be another huge plus for them and a big blow for Manchester United.

Right now, Liverpool are on top of the league and definitely a more attractive option than United.

Transfer – Solskjaer ‘set to move’ to secure key signing for Man United

After conceding 31 goals and keeping just 2 clean sheets in the first half of the Premier League campaign, it is evident that Manchester United desperately need a top quality defender.

If they fail to do so then the United faithful can actually forget about finishing in the top four. Out attack is good enough but the back-line is poor.

Mourinho brought Bailly two years back and Lindelof last summer but unfortunately, the duo have been inconsistent. Other than that, Rojo, Smalling and Jones are present as well but United do not have a single center half, who could command the defense like our legends Vidic and Ferdinand used to do.

The youngster’s current contract has a release clause of (Correio da Manha)
€50million (£45million), which Porto want to increase by extending his contract but the player is reluctant to sign. So, he is already thinking about leaving and United should pounce immediately.

Militao, who is just 20, has proved to be top quality in the Primeira Liga and also in the Champions League. His best years are yet to come and Woodward must act swiftly to lure the young South American as he could be the future of our club.
