Manchester United have a number of areas in the squad that they will need to reinforce sooner rather than later.

The Red Devils, for example, have been struggling with the left wing-back role with natural candidates not managing to stay fit.

Diogo Dalot has had to occupy this position for much of last and this season so far, although the Portuguese wing-back struggles with angles considering he is a naturally right-footed player who plays on the left side.

One player that Man Utd want to sign for the left wing-back role is Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, but reports indicate that they are going to lose the race to Liverpool.

As per iNews, the Red Devils have suffered a blow as Liverpool are ready to agree a deal to sign the talented Hungarian defender.

The report also mentions that Kerkez favors a move to Liverpool, eliminating any further hope for Man Utd.

The Merseysiders are looking for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson who has been far from his best this season and the 21-year-old suits the bill.

Of course, competitively, Liverpool are miles clear of where Manchester United stand at the moment and this could be a driving factor. The presence of his compatriot, Dominik Szoboszlai, at Anfield could also add to the pull.

Bournemouth would be asking for around £50million to even start entertaining conversations. With clubs like Liverpool and Man Utd going head to head, there isn’t much that the Cherries can do in terms of resistence.

If Man Utd can sign him, it would be an ideal addition to the squad. However, in this scenario, it seems rather unlikely. In your view, who should Amorim bring to reinforce the LWB position at Old Trafford?
