Manchester United have been given a big boost by AC Milan’s Franck Kessie, with the midfielder admitting he’d like to play for the Red Devils in the future, reports the Express. He said to the media recently: “I’d like to play for United as they’ve always been my favourite team.”
The 21-year-old joined Milan from Atalanta on a two-year loan spell and will sign a permanent deal with the Rossoneri in 2019. He’s been a regular for Milan this season, scoring and creating seven goals in 24 Serie A appearances, and is a target for United.
Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he’s after a midfielder this season as Michael Carrick is retiring, Marouane Fellaini is out of contract in this summer and Ander Herrera has been linked with a move to Milan ironically.
Kessie, rated at £49.5m, could be the man to solve their midfield woes. The Ivorian international is a box-to-box player, capable of making tackles and interceptions to nullify the opposition as well as drive with the ball and create chances.
With Paul Pogba’s form wavering of late, United could do with another midfielder who will harry the opposition while also being a threat in the final third. He likely won’t come cheap and his impending permanent move to Milan might prove a stumbling block in negotiations.
Just got a feelin tha Pogba is actin like a idiot and not payin attention to wha his coaoh is tryin to tell him it seems to me tha he is thinkin I do it my way and not your way
