Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will not be renewing his contract with the club.
Gundogan is reportedly a target for both Manchester United, who some claim have already sealed a deal for the German international, as well as German champions Bayern Munich.
Having recovered from a spate of injuries that had kept him out for 16 months, Gundogan returned to first team action impressing along the way.
Now Dortmund have tweeted that Gundogan will not be extending his contract beyond June 2016, opening the door for a move this summer as the club will want to cash in rather than lose him for free next year.
