Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has hailed the performances of forward duo Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, who have contributed goals from the left side of the attack.
The pair have been hugely influential towards United’s fine start to the campaign, Robson feels that their performances keep the club in good stead as they aim to lift the Premier League title.
Jose Mourinho’s side are up to 19 points after seven games into the campaign, and they are only second to leaders Manchester City on the table – in terms of goal difference.
Rashford and Martial have got equal opportunities to impress in the left-wing role this season, and the attacking duo have contributed five goals and five assists thus far.
In a report covered by Sky Sports, Robson was pleased with the form of Rashford and Martial and feels United have a real chance of winning the league, should they continue to impress.
He said: “The squad looks solid. It’s a good, confident start to the season. The one thing I felt at the start of the season was that if Rashford and Martial could start the season with a bit of confidence and improve from last year but score more goals, United have a real chance of winning the title and they can be there and thereabouts.”
Manchester United will continue their league campaign following the international break where they face their first major test against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Anfield.
