Manchester United will seek to end the Premier League campaign on a high when they entertain Watford at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Red Devils cemented the second spot after the goalless stalemate against West Ham in midweek and Jose Mourinho is expected to make numerous changes ahead of the FA Cup final next weekend.
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Lineup:
David de Gea claimed his maiden Golden Glove award after attaining his 18th clean sheet of the campaign against the Hammers. The Spaniard is expected to be rested this weekend with Sergio Romero starting between the sticks.
In defence, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones have a strong chance of starting on Sunday and they could be accompanied by Chris Smalling in a three-man backline. Likewise, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind could be offered rare starts and they should slot into the right and left wing-back positions respectively.
In midfield, Mourinho has already confirmed that club-captain Michael Carrick will start his final game for the club and he could be partnered by Scott McTominay at the centre of the park. In this case, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera should utmost feature from the bench.
Further forward, both Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard are due to be rested and Jose Mourinho has already confirmed that Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial should take up their positions. The duo should feature in a two-man strike partnership with Juan Mata playing behind them in the number 10 position.
