Manchester United are serious about signing Enzo Fernandez and have moved in with a record bid to sign him.
Yesterday, Correio da Manha reported that the Red Devils are preparing an offer over 120 million euros to lure the Argentine international.
Today, the renowned news source have reported (news image provided below) that Man Utd have submitted a bid of worth £106million+ (release clause) to hire the services of the 21-year-old midfielder.
CdM claim that even Chelsea have moved in with a similar offer but Benfica are still trying to hold on to the player.
It is likely the South American will move to the Premier League but it is reported that to counter the proposals forwarded by the English sides, the Eagles are readying a new contract.
The Liga Nos giants are are ready to pay Enzo a ‘hefty premium’ and a bumper pay rise while increasing the release clause to 150 million euros. A Benfica source told the media outlet:
“We want to reward the player. He will be rewarded, a reward for his sporting commitment if he stays, and he knows it. But he is the one who has to decide. Our bet is clear”
Man Utd’s current record signing is Paul Pogba, who joined from the Old Lady for a fee of £89million (Sky Sports) and moved back to Italy last summer on a bosman.
