As per today’s version of Sport (news image provided below), the Stamford Bridge club have agreed to pay a loan fee of 11 million euros (£9.7million) to lure the playmaker from Atletico Madrid.
The renowned Catalan news source have mentioned that Chelsea have also agreed to pay Felix’s wages until the end of the campaign.
As per a recent story covered by The Telegraph, the Portuguese international’s salary for the next six months is around £5.3million.
The Spanish media outlet mention that Man Utd and Arsenal also pressed to sign the 23-year-old attacking midfielder but Chelsea moved in to meet the requirements of the La Liga side.
It is stated that the loan deal does not include any option for the Blues to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Felix proved his worth at Benfica before moving to the Colchoneros, he helped the team win the Spanish league title in 2020-21 but over time, his relationship with coach, Simeone, has deteriorated.
