Club working to offer £400,000-a-week versatile star to Man United – Journalist

Juventus' Aaron Ramsey vs SPAL

Manchester United were linked with Aaron Ramsey earlier in the year and once again, the Welsh international is in the lime light.

Back in February, La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that Juventus are ready to sell the former Arsenal man to the Red Devils in order to lure Paul Pogba.

Transfer: Man United could move to finally sign £120,000-a-week midfielder – Report

More recently, renowned journalist, Nicolo Schira, has claimed that the Italian club are working to offer Ramsey or Costa in an exchange deal to re-sign the French midfielder from Man United.

The 58-capped international directly contributed in 130 goals in over 350 games for the Gunners before opting to join The Old Lady on a free transfer in the summer transfer window last year. He got himself a bumper salary of £400,000-a-week (BBC).

The Bianconeri have an overcrowded midfield department with players like Sami Khedira, Blaise Matuidi, Adrien Rabiot, Miralem Pjanic and Rodrigo Bentancur around. Not to forget, they offloaded Emre Can to Dortmund in the January.

Therefore, unfortunately, things have not gone smoothly in Italy for the former Arsenal man. Under Sarri, he only managed to start 9 games in the Serie A before the campaign was suspended in March.

The 29-year-old is a versatile talent, who can not only play in the central midfield but can also be deployed effectively in the attacking third. He has got ample Premier League experience under his belt and would improve Man United’s midfield department that has not been reinforced in the past three transfer windows.

Do you think Man Utd should opt to sign Aaron Ramsey to replace Paul Pogba?

  1. I believe Pogba can still do better.Instead of looking for another midfielder let Pogba stay

  2. He (ramsey) can do good at the theatre of dreams but paul is a comedian let him leave our team.
