Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has provided an injury update on the first-team squad prior to Saturday’s Premier League clash against Huddersfield Town.

The Red Devils are presently trailing leaders Manchester City by two points, and the game at the John Smith’s Stadium provides the perfect opportunity to grab a solid victory – ahead of potentially challenging games against Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

In a report covered on the club’s official website, the gaffer confirmed that both Marcus Rashford and Phil Jones will be available for the Huddersfield clash after having recovered from their respective knocks.

Other than this, there are negative updates on the injury front with Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Eric Bailly ruled out for the Terriers game whilst Marcus Rojo is still short of fitness to make the matchday squad.

Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain the long-term absentees from the United setup and Mourinho admitted that he has no knowledge as to when the former would return to first-team action, he said: “Paul is not here, I don’t know when he comes back. I don’t know when he’s available. I have no idea about it.”

Ibrahimovic has been taking part in the shooting and passing drills with United of late, but he could feature for United before the turn of the year – according to Mourinho.
