Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho has provided an injury update on the first-team squad ahead of Monday’s Premier League showdown versus Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Speaking to MUTV, the Portuguese manager confirmed that there are no fresh concerns from the Chelsea win, though the injured list will remain the same from the previous weekend.
Marouane Fellaini remains injured for another couple of weeks due to his knee surgery, whilst Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have also been deemed unfit to make the matchday squad.
Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was expected to return to first-team duties by the start of February, but unfortunately there is no positive news on the Swede, who does not feel ‘ready’ yet to make his comeback.
Ander Herrera is the sixth and final player on the club’s treatment room as he continues to recover from a hamstring strain, for which Mourinho has yet to reveal a possible return date.
Despite the setbacks, the south London trip may see the return of Eric Bailly to the starting lineup after featuring from the bench against Sevilla and Chelsea during the backend of February.
The Ivorian has not started a competitive outing for Manchester United since November 4, and a 90-minute workout against Palace should be ideal ahead of a key Premier League clash against Liverpool next weekend.
