Manchester United have been linked with Mason Mount for some time and yesterday, they submitted their first offer to get him from Chelsea.

Transfer: Man Utd plot triple raid to sign £68m striker, £34m playmaker and free midfielder – Report
According to The Guardian, Man Utd have already agreed personal terms of a contract with the England international.
However, agreeing a fee with the Stamford Bridge club is now the major obstacle.
As per The Scottish Daily Mail, Chelsea are demanding a mammoth fee of £75million for their playmaker, who will be out of contract in 12 months.
The news source have mentioned the two-time Champions League winners could lower their demands keeping in view they could lose the player for nothing next year.
In such a scenario, Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag is pressing to close the signing of Mount for a fee of around £50million.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder provided the assist to win the UEFA Champions League for Chelsea two years ago.
He is a proven quality Premier League star, who has the experience and the versatility to largely improve the offense at Old Trafford.
Sancho and Antony have so far proved to be big money flops, on the other hand, United do not have a top No.9. Therefore, Rashford had to take the major goalscoring burden on his shoulders last term.
Have your say – Is Mason Mount good enough to reinforce the Man Utd attack?

For me, I don’t support Mason Mount transfer to Man U, as his position is not too important to us for now. He is not an exceptional player. If he is, I could have supported his coming to Old Trafford.
We need to focus on some positions of importance, like the centre back, defensive midfield and striking department.
I would be pleased if we can bring in Jurrien Timber and Kim Min J to Old Trafford.
Also go for a good defensive midfielder, an attacking midfielder, two good strikers and a goalkeeper.
Conclusively, we shouldn’t make the mistake of selling Sancho, MacTominay and Fred.
It’s time we started buying players like the likes of Real Madrid, Man City, PSG, Liverpool etc.
