Contract close, £16.9m transfer fee done, Man Utd have begun to reap rewards – Report

It looks likely that Adriren Rabiot will leave Juventus to sign for Manchester United sooner rather than later.

Earlier in the day, we covered a story (via Corriere dello Sport) claiming that the Reds are moving closer to agreeing personal terms with Rabiot after positive talks with his agent.

Transfer: Blow for Man Utd as Liverpool prepare move to sign £50.6million star

Another Italia source in the form of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below) also have a great update for the Old Trafford faithful.

The renowned media outlet have claimed that after initial difficulties, Man Utd have begun to reap the rewards of consistent efforts made by John Murtough to sign the Frenchman.

It is reported that the meeting with Rabiot’s representative i.e his mother, Veronique, has not materialized into a formal contract but has essentially brought the two parties closer to an agreement.

Rabiot is deepening his conversations with the Red Devils in order to complete the move.

As far as the transfer fee is concerned, GdS claim that the most successful club in Italy have already accepted a price of 20 million euros (£16.9m) to send the player to Man Utd.

Ten Hag has been looking to improve his midfield ever since he joined the club but thus far, he has been disappointed.

After yet another dismal display in the Premier League, we really need to reinforce the squad at the earliest.

Hopefully, the Dutch manager will have the services of Adrien Rabiot when we will collide against arch rivals Liverpool in the on 22nd August.
