De Gea deal on the way as tweet confirms keeper’s departure

David De Gea’s days at Old Trafford appear to be numbered after a tweet from Real Madrid’s betting partners Bwin confirmed the time and date of stalwart Iker Casillas’ farewell.

Casillas, 34, is set to join Portuguese giants Porto ahead of a proposed move for De Gea but there has been no confirmation from Real Madrid of the transfer Bwin’s decision to send out the tweet has left many perplexed.

Casillas’ reluctance to leave the Bernabeu was thought to be one of the things that had hindered De Gea’s move with the 24 year old preferring not to have to contend with the Real Madrid legend’s presence at the club.

Of course United’s reluctance to sell is playing a massive part in the move having not taken place but with Real Madrid committing to sell Casillas it means that Real are either about to step up their pursuit of De Gea or are confident that they have already got their man.
