Deal close – How £85m star will start in Man United XI

Mount and Bellingham - England

Multiple Premier League clubs have been after Mason Mount but Manchester United are the closest to signing him from Chelsea.

The question is, how would Ten Hag utilize the England international in his starting XI if he does end up completing the move?

Mount primarily likes to play in the No. 10 role behind the main center forward and that is where he has excelled for Chelsea in the Premier League.

However, United’s premier CAM in Ten Hag’s 4-2-3-1 system is Bruno Fernandes and he has arguably been our most consistent player since completing the move from Sporting CP.

The England international can also feature on the left flank but that position is mainly occupied by Marcus Rashford, who is irreplaceable in the Man Utd starting XI.

Mount has also proved to be effective in the central midfield role and we lack a player who can make driving runs into the box from the midfield and regularly score and create goals.

Eriksen used to be effective in the attack during his prime years with Tottenham and he only scored a single goal in the recently concluded PL season. On the other hand, the likes of Fred and McTominay are not good enough and should be replaced.

Therefore, in my view, the £85m-rated star should get the nod to start ahead of veteran Eriksen and partner Brazilian superstar, Casemiro, in the center of the park. What do you think?
