The Milan based news source have mentioned that the Red Devils have stepped up their efforts to lure the star chosen by Erik ten Hag.

Man Utd met with the representatives of the player and the entourage are now providing confirmations ‘in every direction’ that the deal is close.

GdS claim Inter demand a fee of £43million plus bonuses for the African shot stopper and Man United are ready to pay the amount to seal the signing.

The Nerazzurri have been informed the 20-time English champions are willing to meet the asking price.

It is reported Onana is now set to leave the Serie A giants and it is likely that next week, he will complete the deal to move to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old kept eight clean sheets in twenty four league appearances last term and kept eight clean sheets in just thirteen appearances in the European Cup.

His arrival perhaps confirms that David De Gea will be leaving Manchester United on a bosman this summer.
