Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be on the verge of securing his first signing as Manchester United boss if reports in the media are anything to go by.
Few days back, Sky Sports reported that the Red Devils are close to agreeing a £15m deal to lure Welsh international Daniel James.
Today, London Evening Standard have also claimed that Man Utd are closing in on securing the signing of the Swansea City starlet and the fee could rise to between £15-20million with add-ons. It is further mentioned that Solskjaer is hopeful the signing will be agreed imminently.
Transfer: Report – Man Utd assured they’d secure signing of £60million playmaker
The 21-year-old star is naturally a left winger but he can effectively play in multiple attacking positions. James can comfortably maneuver the ball with both feet and he is super fast.
In the recently concluded Championship campaign, the youngster made 28 starts for the Welsh club and directly contributed in 13 goals (4 goals and 9 assists).
As far as United are concerned, Martial is the team’s first choice left winger and flop Alexis Sanchez is there as the backup option. The Chilean international must be offloaded in the summer transfer window.
On the other end, Lingard is the first choice right winger and the second choice is Juan Mata, who I believe is not good enough but could end up agreeing a new deal with the club (The Mail).
So, it is clear that the Old Trafford club lack quality and depth in the wide attacking positions and signing James, who can operate on either flank, would help the team a lot.
That is something we need to know.please and please ole please buy players i beg u.daniel james which position this guy is going to play here.please do something now, because transfers is going to open at 00:01 on 16 may. please u need to spend this.because we want to fight for trophy next season and we want to be at level of man city and liverpool.
Man Utd need six players minimum. Two Central defenders, a right back, an attacking/defensive middle of the park Midfielder, a right winger and a striker. They must spend big and not spend on everage unknowns. Sir Alex always brought the best in and when he brought in youngsters it was in a mix of other brilliant experienced players
I think Ole knows how the gaffer used to blend them with mature players and that is why am very happy with his decision to build a team of young stars.
Our culture is to make stars but not signing them.
Ole and your team please finish these deals as early as possible
United need to know that players like Paul pogba can’t take the club to ransom it is not the manager’s fault if the team don’t perform
