Manchester United are close to agreeing their first signing of the winter transfer window if reports in the media are anything to go by.
According to French outlet La Courrier Picard, 16-year-old SC Amiens midfielder, Noam Emeran, will join the Red Devils at the end of this month. His compensation fee will be around €80,000-€100,000.
In Britain, The Daily Mail have reported that the Old Trafford club have beaten Italian champions Juventus and French champions PSG to sign the teenager and United are expected to pay a compensation fee of £90,000.
The young French international has so far made two appearances for the U-16 national side.
Emeran has not made any appearance for the first team of the Ligue 1 club but the fact that European giants have been after him explains that the boy has got serious talent.
He is a versatile starlet, who can effectively play in the attacking third as well.
At the moment, United first team’s strike-force has got enough quality and depth with stars like Rashford and Lukaku around. Moreover, even Martial and Alexis Sanchez can play in the CF role.
As far as the midfield is concerned, Fellaini is not needed anymore (Mirror Sport) and summer signing Fred has been out of form since moving to the club from Shakhtar.
Of course, Emeran would not get straight into Man United’s starting XI and the club are luring him for the future.
