Transfer: Ten Hag believes £64,000 a week player will agree to join Man United – Report

According to an exclusive story covered by talkSPORT, Man Utd are close to securing the signing of the Brazilian international for a fee worth 50 million euros (£42.2million).

The renowned news source have mentioned that the Red Devils were linked with Alvaro Morata, who scored a brace last night, but are now focusing on luring Cunha.

The Old Trafford outfit are prepared to consider offloading Ronaldo before the closure of the transfer window and need reinforcements.

Matheus Cunha is a talented South American, who can play in multiple offensive positions but mainly, he is a center forward.

At the Olympics, Cunha made 5 appearances, scored 3 goals and provided an assist to help Brazil win the Gold Medal.

Last season, in the presence of star names like Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann, the 23-year-only managed to start 8 games for Atletico in the Spanish La Liga. Still, he directly contributed in no fewer than 13 goals (6 goals and 7 assists).

Suarez has left the Rojiblancos but Morata has returned from his loan spell in Italy, so, Cunha may need to leave to regularly start.
