Manchester United are closing in to secure the signing of Andre Onana in a deal worth £43million+ from Inter Milan.

According to Sport MediaSet, Man Utd are just a step away from luring the Cameroonian international in the summer transfer window.

Transfer: Man Utd offer deal worth £85million+ to sign star – Report

The well-known Italian source have revealed that the Nerazzurri will get £43million+ (50 million euros plus add-ons) from the Red Devils and the funds will not be invested to sign a new goal keeper.

Instead, they will be utilized to secure the signing of Romelu Lukaku, who played on loan last term, on a permanent basis.

Onana made over 200 appearances for Ajax under the guidance of current Old Trafford boss, Erik ten Hag.

He won three Eredivisie titles, two Dutch Cups and one Dutch Super Cup before completing his move to Italy last year.

In his debut season at the San Siro, the 27-year-old won both the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup trophies.

Moreover, the African goal keeper was one of the superstars in the UEFA Champions League and despite defeat in the final, he was highly impressive vs Manchester City.

There is no news on David De Gea’s renewal and it seems highly likely that the Spaniard will finally leave Man Utd this summer.

In your view, is Andre Onana good enough to replace the La Furia Roja GK?
