The famous German media outlet have mentioned that the midfielder’s departure from Bayern Munich is imminent as he did not even take part in the latest training session.

Eriksen moved to Old Trafford last summer and this term, he has been brilliant in the center of the park with Casemiro.

Man Utd are the only English side still active in four tournaments and must replace the injured Danish star. In such a scenario, Sabitzer is heading to replace the former Spurs midfielder.

The 28-year-old Austrian can effectively play in multiple midfield and attacking positions. He was an absolute superstar at RB Leipzig under the guidance of current Bayern boss, Julian Nagelsmann.

In his last full season with Leipzig, the 68-capped international captained the team and directly contributed in 16 goals in all competitions.

However, since moving to Bayern, he has mainly warmed the bench. In the last season, Sabitzer only started 8 games in the league-winning campaign.

On the other hand, as far as the current campaign is concerned, the £113,000 a week star has only started 7 games in the Bundesliga (last in September 2022).

The versatile midfielder surely needs to leave the Bavarians to play regular first-team football and Man Utd should not turn to the inconsistent duo of McTominay and Fred.

In your view, is Marcel Sabitzer good enough to replace Eriksen?
