Manchester United remain interested in signing £42.6million-rated Matthijs de Ligt and the latest updates are intriguing.
As per today’s version of AZ, Man Utd want to sign the Dutch international and is also pushing to lure Mazraoui to reinforce the defense this summer.
Transfer: Player ready to secure £26m-£38m terms to sign for Manchester United – Report
The German media outlet have mentioned that thus far, Bayern Munich have ‘not yet reached an agreement’ with Manchester United.
Now, the Bundesliga side’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has provided a mysterious update on the transfer situation of the former Ajax player:
Eberl said:
“He (De Ligt) played very well here for two years, which is why so many fans like him. Nevertheless, you have to think about how you decide – also how the boy feels.”
We know how De Ligt feels as he wants to move to Man Utd and has already agreed lucrative personal terms with them. Eberl has perhaps indicated the same.
The Bavarian supporters initiated a petition to ensure that the player stays at the Allianz.
However, with his heart set on moving to United and with Bayern also willing to sell, the only thing stopping De Ligt from reuniting with Ten Hag is an agreement between the two clubs.
With less than a month left in the summer transfer window, both Bayern and United would like to lure the transfer targets in time.
Bayern are pressing hard to sign Jonathan Tah as soon as possible and Man Utd desperately need to have De Ligt swiftly with Leny Yoro out for three months.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds and will keep you updated.
