DISASTER! Hamstring Injury Cuts Short Di Maria’s Copa America Final

It seems that Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria just can’t catch a break!

Having shown some pretty decent form in Chile at the Copa America, United fans were looking forward to his return to duties at United, hoping that he could continue in this good vein of form but as Argentina took on Chile this evening in the final of the South America competition, disaster struck.

Di Maria, suddenly pulled up with his hamstring again putting pain to his hopes of competing on the big stage for his country.

A hamstring injury ruled him out of the World Cup final last summer as Argentina took on Germany and it cruelly struck again tonight, leaving the winger in tears as he was replaced by PSG’s Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Where does the injury leave Di Maria in regards to Manchester United?

The 27 year old needs to have a big season after failing to live up to his £60m price tag and this could immediately put him on the back foot.
