In recent times, the biggest news for Manchester United and their supporters is that the club have sealed a new deal with star playmaker, Bruno Fernandes.

If reports are to be believed then the Red Devils have agreed a contract worth £50million with the Portuguese international.

Transfer: Man Utd offer over £130,000-a-week contract to sign star – Report

According to The Athletic, the Old Trafford outfit have secured a fresh four-year deal that will make the former Sporting CP star earn £240,000 a week (£50million until 2026).

Fernandes has already won the Matt Busby Player of the Year award twice in two years but unfortunately, he has not won a single club title with Man Utd.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has regularly scored and created goals in his career and this season, so far, in 26 league starts, he has directly contributed in 15 goals (9 goals and 6 assists).

In the recently held WC qualification play-off final, the 42-capped international scored a brace to earn victory vs North Macedonia and book Portugal’s place in the finals to be held in Qatar later this year.

Holding on to the Seleccao star is a major achievement for Man Utd as he is one of the best playmakers around. Still, the three-time European Champions need to adequately reinforce their squad in the summer to end the trophy drought next season.
