Manchester United have not adequately improved their central midfield since the summer transfer window of 2018 when Fred was lured by Mourinho.
In the next transfer window, the Red Devils must sign a top CM to improve things in the center of the park. Reports indicate that they are eager to sign Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig.
Transfer: £60million playmaker could be offered to Manchester United – Report
As per Bild, the Austrian international, who is captain of the German club under Julian Nagelsmann, has made it clear that he wants to leave the side in the summer transfer window and would like to move to the Premier League.
The German outlet have claimed that Man Utd are keen on signing the 27-year-old star, who is valued at £36million and RB Leipzig would want the asking price met to sell their captain.
Bild have further mentioned that reigning PL champions Liverpool and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are also looking to secure the signature of the 2017 Austrian Footballer of the Year.
We need goals from the center of the park because the likes of Pogba, Matic, McTominay and Fred rarely score and someone like Sabitzer could be a top signing. He scored 16 goals in the last campaign in all competitions and so far, he has scored 7 goals in the current campaign.
He was brilliant in Leipzig’s Champions League campaign last term and helped them reach the semis. Moreover, he has led the side well in the Bundesliga this season. They are just four points behind reigning champions Bayern Munich after 26 fixtures.
In your view, should Man Utd splash £36million to seal the signing of Marcel Sabitzer in the summer?
