Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini produced one of his best displays in the Manchester United shirt as he scored a brace in the 4-0 thumping of Crystal Palace. The 29-year-old was initially a doubt with an ankle knock, but Jose Mourinho will be pleased to have trusted the midfielder with a starting spot.
Earlier in the week, Mourinho revealed that Fellaini could potentially miss the game alongside Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick, leaving just Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic to feature in midfield. However, the lanky midfielder managed to recover just in time to put in another strong performance this month.
The Belgian now has four goals across all competitions for United, and he is just three short of matching his best scoring season back in 2014/15. Fellaini’s coordination with Ashley Young has also been fascinating to watch with the Englishman assisting two of the midfielder’s three goals this month.
Here are the best Twitter reactions over Fellaini’s performance….

Shows great mental resilience from Fellaini to bounce back after being booed at Old Trafford. Good on him. Deserves his success.

The turn around that Marouane Fellaini has made at the club is seriously overlooked. Unbelievably professional.
