While football governing bodies around the world have certainly looked to address the problem of racism by launching various campaigns over the years, it is sadly clear to see that the evil still exists prominently in football and a lot more has to be done in order to effectively deal with the issue.

Ugly incidents involving players and fans, both on and off the football pitch, is still prevalent today and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has now gone on to make a bombshell revelation recently.

Through media website Instagram, Zaha has accused fans of former club Manchester United and Liverpool for calling him a ‘black monkey’ and the post was put up online following Crystal Palace’s clash against West Bromich Albion in the Premier League Asia Trophy.
