Manchester United supporters responded in a positive manner after Alexis Sanchez put in a man of the match performance in the 2-0 Premier League triumph over Huddersfield Town. The Chile international opened the scoring in his debut in front of his home fans whilst his tireless workrate maintained the club’s continuous pressure on the opposition.
Sanchez had a rather forgettable league debut against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, but he made amends against the Terriers as he found the scoresheet in an industrious performance which was capped with a second-half goal.
The 29-year-old earned himself the penalty during the second period, and though he could not convert the spot-kick, he made sure to avoid any unwanted headlines by tapping in the rebound, which sealed United’s 2-0 win.
Comfortable for United. Good in the second half. Didn't allow Huddersfield a shot on target. Sanchez impressive on his home debut.

Alexis Sanchez misses a poorly struck penalty but slots in the rebound. Gets a goal on his Old Trafford bow, been Manchester United's best player today.

Alexis Sanchez predictably terrier-like at United. Was kicked for 90 minutes v Spurs and same again today. Just dusts himself down and gets on with it.

Sanchez has now notched a goal and assist in his three matches for United, and this is an impressive return for a player who has just integrated into the setup. Despite this, there is a minor concern regarding where Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford could feature, given the Chilean has preferred to start on the left side of the attack.
Rashford and Martial have got turns in the centre-forward and right-wing positions respectively, and Mourinho has recently suggested that the pair will have bright futures at Old Trafford, though the chances could be limited in the coming months.
