Manchester United have been trying hard to lure Jude Bellingham and the latest reports seem highly positive.
According to The Sun, Man Utd are favorites in the race to hire the teenager and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to seal his signing for a deal worth £50million (£35million initial and £15million in add-ons).
Transfer: Man Utd ready to offer £74million to secure world class star signing
The British source have exclusively revealed that Dortmund are prepared to offer him wages worth £60,000-a-week, on the other hand, the Red Devils would only like to pay him £30,000-a-week.
The above mentioned figure is quite low as compared to what The Star revealed last month. The renowned outlet claimed that United would pay him a mammoth salary of £100,000-a-week to get his signing done.
The 16-year-old has already made 35 senior appearances for Birmingham in the current campaign, scored 4 goals and also provided 3 assists.
He has played in multiple midfield positions for the Championship club and therefore, he could improve things in the center of the park for Man Utd, who have not strengthened their midfield since the summer transfer window of 2018.
Fellaini and Herrera left us last year. Matic is past his best and Pogba has been highly inconsistent. So, we must sign someone, who will immediately amplify the quality of the team.
To be honest, spending £50million on a very young player, who has not even played a minute of top flight football makes very little sense. For that amount, we can perhaps lure a proven midfielder to improve the squad.
