In the summer, Manchester United signed a two year deal with Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini. The former Everton man is now linked with a move away from the Old Trafford club in the winter transfer window.
According to Turkish source AMK Spor, Fenerbahce are ready to offer a 1.5 year deal worth €7.5million to Fellaini to bring him to Turkey.
Fenerbahce finished runners up in the last league campaign. However, this time around, after 17 fixtures, they are second from the bottom and really need to reinforce the squad in the January transfer window.
Transfer – Club prepared to agree terms with £130,000-a-week Man Utd player
The 31-year-old was mainly a super-sub for us under the management of Jose Mourinho. After the departure of the Portuguese boss, so far, interim manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has only used Fellaini for 3 minutes (vs Cardiff City) in four PL fixtures.
As far as our midfield is concerned, Herrera, Matic and Pogba are doing wonders in the center of the park under Solskjaer and summer signing Fred should get more game as well.
Now, the players are no longer playing long balls in the box, instead, we are playing free flowing attacking football and in that setup, a player like Fellaini is not needed at all, not even as a plan B.
So, I think, United faithful would not really mind if the club opts to sell the tall midfielder, who could actually start regularly elsewhere.
At the moment, Fellaini is earning wages of around £100,000-a-week (The Daily Star). In your view, should he be sold this month?
Fellaini, Lukaku, Damian, Rojo and Smalling let them go so that the club can buy or even groom better players.
Yes he should leave, the playing pattern has changed so we don’t see reason why he should remain at the club.
