Transfer: Man Utd prepared to secure over £15m-a-year contract, signing getting closer – Report

The renowned news source have mentioned that the fee is around £69million (80 million euros) and the Old Trafford outfit could be paying that sum as a fixed amount, which is exactly what the Spanish giants were looking for.

It is stated that now, the signing is very close and the 20-time English champions have to discuss personal terms with the Netherlands star.

The Catalan source believe Man Utd will present an offer that will make the 25-year-old midfielder earn way more than the amount he is currently making at the Nou Camp.

De Jong has been on vacation recently and has consistently claimed that he does not want to leave the La Liga club. However, as per Sport, now that Barca have reached an agreement for his sale, the former Ajax star must pack his bags and secure a contract to move to Old Trafford.

If all things move according to plan then the midfielder will officially be a Manchester United player next week (before 30th June).

Signing Frenkie de Jong has been an absolute priority for Erik ten Hag. He wants to build the team around the talented Dutchman and after securing him, the manager will push to further strengthen the squad.
