Ex-Barca player will seal defining contract to join Man Utd – Installment plan

Having already secured the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea, Manchester United are pressing to complete their second deal of the summer.

As per today’s version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below), Inter Milan are now completely thinking about Romelu Lukaku because Onana is going to Old Trafford.

The well-known Italian media outlet have stated that at the start, the asking fee was 60 million euros and Man Utd were only willing to offer an initial fee of 45 million euros with additional 5 million euros in add-ons.

However, the negotiations continued for hours and hours and all the surrounding issues were resolved between the two clubs.

First, agreement on the payment plan was reached. The payment will be made in four installments for the transfer of the former Barca player.

Second, the agreement on the solidarity contribution divided between the clubs. Third, the agreement on the bonuses part of 5 million euros was reached.

Lastly, eventually United agreed to pay the fixed fee of 50 million euros (55 million euros in total) to reach close to Inter’s valuation of Onana.

The Nerazzurri will soon give the “Ok” and after that Onana will seal the defining contract to join Man Utd.
