Manchester United were deservedly beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in the last Premier League game and need to step up big time.

The Red Devils will face Nottingham Forest today and must return to winning ways at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag has multiple injury concerns to deal with. The Dutch manager is expected to make four changes to the squad that started vs Spurs.

Luke Shaw is expected to be out for some time and second choice left back, Tyrell Malacia is still weeks away from action.

In such a scenario, Diogo Dalot, a natural right back, could feature in the LB role vs Forest. The Portuguese should partner Varane, Martinez and Wan-Bissaka at the back in front of Onana.

Big money signing, Mason Mount, is out with a hamstring concern and in his absence, veteran, Christian Eriksen, would return to partner Casemiro in the center of the park.

In the opening two games, thus far, Man Utd have only scored a single goal and that too was netted by a central defender, Varane.

Therefore, things up front should be changed. Rashford must play in his preferred left wing position and not in the CF role.

Martial could return to feature in the No.9 position with Hojlund still unavailable and Jadon Sancho may get the nod to start in the offense. The likes of Antony and Garnacho should be benched.

Predicted Man Utd 4-2-3-1 XI vs Nottingham Forest: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez; Dalot Casemiro, Eriksen; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
