As per today’s version of the Scottish Daily Mail, the Red Devils are “closing in on a deal” for the versatile starlet which could net Celtic upwards of £5m (sell-on fee).
On the other hand, according to Bild (via The Daily Record), Frimpong is on the brink of a move to Man Utd, who are in advanced talks with the Bundesliga side.
The news source have mentioned that Leverkusen are set to ask for a fee of £50m for their prized asset.
Erik ten Hag desperately needs an attack minded fullback to strengthen his squad for the next season and Frimpong is one of the best offensive defenders around.
The former Manchester City player has the ability to effectively play as a right winger if needed and his stats this season are highly impressive.
So far, in the current campaign, the Oranje RB has helped Xabi Alonso’s team keep 14 clean sheets in all competitions. Moreover, he has directly contributed in 20 goals (9 goals and 11 assists).
At Old Trafford, Wan-Bissaka has only provided a single assist in 33 appearances (no goal), on the other hand, Portuguese defender, Dalot has netted 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 41 games under Ten Hag.
