Manchester United fans are pushing Jose Mourinho to sign Renato Sanches following his standout display in Bayern Munich’s 3-2 win over Chelsea in the International Champions Cup. The Portugal international had a poor season with the Bavarian giants following his switch from Benfica last summer, and this has heightened speculation over his future with Carlo Ancelotti admitting that the midfielder could move on loan.
Sanches had attracted interest from United prior to his switch to the Allianz Arena last year, and it is no surprise that the club are once again being linked with Jose Mourinho looking to add a central midfielder to their ranks.
The 19-year-old managed just six starts over the course of the previous campaign, but he played the full 90 minutes during Bayern’s pre-season friendly win over Chelsea in the national stadium in Singapore. Sanches imposed himself on N’Golo Kante at the heart of the midfield, and the United faithful are now desperate to have the enforcer on a temporary basis, at the least.

Sanches enjoyed a successful period with the Portuguese national side last summer when they won the European Championship. However, he has since then fallen down the pecking order with the reduced gametime hampering his international prospects. United are keen on recruiting a robust midfielder to their ranks, and they could potentially compete with AC Milan to pursue a temporary deal for Sanches.
If Renato is good enough, please hurry up and get him Joe before it gets too late.
