According to reports from the Sun, Bayern Munich are set to make a huge bid for long time Manchester United target Eric Dier.
Manchester United get linked with numerous players every summer and while most of the rumors are just wild guesses, the reports linking the Red Devils will a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur Eric Dier this summer seemed to be credible.
Dier has managed to earn a reputation as one of the best midfielders in the English Premier League over the past few seasons and United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be a huge admirer of the England international.
United were said to have made a sizeable bid for Dier earlier on during the window but Tottenham were not willing to even go to the negotiation table by maintaining their stance that the ex-Sporting Lisbon man is not for sale.
Nonetheless, it has now been claimed by the Sun that German giants Bayern Munich have registered an interest in signing Dier and are said to be ready to splash as much as £50million to sign the Tottenham star.
It remains to be seen if Spurs will entertain any offers from Bayern, given their rejection of United but if they show willingness, one can be sure that the Red Devils will revive their pursuit for the talented midfielder.
