Manchester United supporters were elated with the performance of Jesse Lingard who bagged the winner during the 2-1 triumph over Chelsea in the Premier League.
The Red Devils trailed in the 32rd-minute after a Willian effort, but they went into the break level after Romelu Lukaku equalised after some delightful link-up play with Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial.
With the result hanging in the balance, Jose Mourinho decided to play Jesse Lingard from the bench, and the Englishman did not disappoint after he scored from a brilliant cross by Lukaku.
The United graduate had made it a trend to score in the big matches, and his match-winner against the Blues saw the faithful come up with plenty of praise on Twitter.
Scott Mctominay bossed the midfield defensively and sent Eden Hazard to the bench whilst Jose Mourinho sends on Jesse Lingard to score the winner.

I’ve been overly critical of Lingard in the past, but no one can deny his impressive and important contributions this season. Done fantastically well. Great player to have in the squad.

The victory was a timely one as it sees United maintain their two-point lead over third-placed Liverpool. A defeat on Sunday would have potentially put the club under threat of losing a top-four spot, and the Blues’ win will no doubt boost the confidence withing the squad.
Jesse Lingard has found himself on the substitutes’ bench of late after seeing his early season form fizzle out. He has however maintained his desire to make an impression on the pitch and this contributed to his brilliant match-winning header versus the Blues.
