The Italian journalist claims that today will be the big day for the confirmation of the star center forward strongly desired by Erik ten Hag.

As per La Gazzetta Dello Sport, ‘Today is Rasmus Hojlund’s day at Manchester United’.

The Milan based media outlet claim, the 20-year-old, lured from Atalanta for a fee of 75 million euros, will be presented at Old Trafford before the friendly against Lens.

However, GdS state he will not be in action against the Ligue 1 side. Instead, the former Copenhagen starlet is expected to make his debut for the Red Devils when they face Athletic Bilbao tomorrow.

Hojlund only netted 9 goals in the Italian Serie A last term and next season, United will need him to hit the ground running immediately if they are to challenge for the Premier League title.

Can he have the same impact as Man City’s Erling Haaland? Only time will tell.

For now, the fans cannot wait for the Man Utd to officially announce his signing.
