How Man Utd could line up with £100million attacker – Must sign in winter

Donny van de Beek Netherlands

Manchester United ended Liverpool’s winning run last night but could only get a single point from the game. We remain in the bottom half of the table, two points above the relegation zone.

The Red Devils desperately need to strengthen their squad in the winter transfer window and in my view, we need a quality central attacking midfielder.

Transfer: Man United keen on signing £35million star in January – Report

Few days back, FCInterNews reported that Man Utd are very interested in signing Dutch international star Donny van de Beek, who could leave Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Solskjaer should not wait for the summer and must sign the £100million-rated (Mirror Sport) attacker in the winter transfer window to reinforce things up front.

At Old Trafford, United do not have a natural/quality central attacking midfielder. The likes of Lingard and Mata can play in the CAM role but United have mostly utilized them on the flanks.

Moreover, the England international has never been consistent for us and the Spaniard is now a veteran and past his best in my opinion. Last season, Pogba effectively played in that position under Solskjaer but the French World Cup winner has mainly excelled in the central midfield.

Therefore, a proven quality CAM should be lured and Van de Beek fits the bill. The 22-year-old star directly contributed in 30 goals in all competitions last term and scored some crucial strikers in the Champions League.

In the current campaign, so far, in 7 league starts, he has directly contributed in 6 assists. If he does end up moving to Man Utd in the winter transfer window then Solskjaer should utilize him in the No. 10 role behind the main center forward i.e. Marcus Rashford.

Here is how Man Utd could line up with Donny van de Beek if he does end up moving to Old Trafford in winter:
