Ralf Rangnick suffered his first defeat since joining Manchester United and the German manager has not been able to implement his plans at Old Trafford as yet.

Transfer: Man United prepared to immediately finalize £17million signing – Report
According to a recent report covered by Mirror Sport, £25million-rated Denis Zakaria could be the most likeliest January signing for Man Utd and Rangnick is looking to add a player like the Switzerland star.
The Red Devils have not reinforced the central midfield for more than three years and they also have a veteran defensive midfielder in the form of Nemanja Matic, whose best days are long gone.
Over the years, the Old Trafford outfit have splashed a lot of cash to strengthen the back-line but the absence of a solid play breaker has not helped. They need a strong player to provide cover in front of the defense and Zakaria would fit the bill.
The Borussia Monchengladbach star is a tall and solid holding midfield star, who is comfortable in possession as well and can even get past opponents.
At Old Trafford, Fred is arguably the most hard working midfielder who likes to press and win the ball and in Rangnick’s pressing style of football, Zakaria should partner the Brazilian in the center of the park.
The German manager prefers the 4-2-2-2 formation. In that system, here is how Man Utd could line up with Denis Zakaria if he does end up joining this month:
