Manchester United have reportedly been given a boost in the pursuit of Alex Sandro with Juventus prepared to accept of around €35-40m for his summer sale.
The Brazil international has been heavily tipped to join United in May and reports even suggested that an agreement could be reached shortly after the FA Cup final.
However, the transfer gossip thereafter diminished with Jose Mourinho more keen on signing an experienced centre-back but the Bianconeri have now opened the door for the Brazilian’s exit.
According to Tuttosport, the Serie A holders are willing to accept a sum of around €35-40m for the former Porto man and part of the sum recouped is likely to go into signing either Matteo Darmian or Juan Bernat.
Mourinho hugely relied on Ashley Young to perform the left-back duties last term but the Englishman unquestionably had his weaknesses whilst trying to back-up from attack-minded positions.
As such, Sandro is a no-brainer signing with his energetic and mobile style of play and the Brazilian would also improve on the deliveries into the box with the crossing attributes being one of his main strengths.
Meanwhile, Darmian has been strongly linked with a potential return to Turin and any proposed deal with the Bianconeri would undoubtedly be a bonus to reduce the overall valuation of Sandro’s transfer.
