Man Utd admire £43.9m star, in contact to seal signing before deadline – Reports

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

With just a few days left in the January transfer window, Manchester United are heavily linked with Inter Milan star, Denzel Dumfries.

As per the latest reports going on in the Italian media, the Red Devils are interested in luring the Dutch international and will have to pay a decent fee to hire his services.

Recently, Calcio Mercato reported that Man Utd are in contact with the agent of the player, who is looking to take his client away from the Nerazzurri by bringing in an offer of over 50 million euros (£43.9m).

As per yesterday’s version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below) there are three intense days of work for the Italian giants, who may end up losing both Skriniar and Dumfries before the end of the transfer deadline next Tuesday.

The renowned media outlet have mentioned that the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and Newcastle United admire the ex PSV Eindhoven player.

As far as the asking price is concerned, GdS claim Inter Milan are not willing to accept any offer of less than 50 million euros (£43.9m).

For now, the Nerazzurri have not received any official bid and therefore, it will not come as any surprise to see the player stay at the San Siro.

At Man Utd, Diogo Dalot has been Ten Hag’s first choice right back but since the World Cup, Wan-Bissaka has mainly started in the role because the Portuguese has been out injured.

The England international warmed the bench in the first half of the campaign but he has bounced back with solid performances in the past month.

Do you think Man Utd need another right back and should sign Denzel Dumfries?
