Inter chief makes major admission about future of Manchester United target Perisic

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has strongly stated that Manchester United target Ivan Perisic will not be leaving San Siro this summer.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Ivan Perisic all summer long but the transfer saga simply does not seem close to reaching a resolution anytime soon.

Initially, it was reported that the move had not taken place due to the fact that United were unwilling to agree to Inter’s £48million asking price for Perisic and now, claims are being made that the Red Devils are not willing to include Anthony Martial as part of any transfer for the Croatian international – meaning that the prospective deal is under threat.

United boss Jose Mourinho recently hinted that he would still like to sign Perisic despite the protracted talks but in another twist to the tale, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has gone on to categorically state that the 28-year-old is not for sale this summer.

While speaking about Antonio Candreva, who has also been linked with a move away from the San Siro, and Perisic, Ausilio told Mediaset Premium, “I don’t understand where some of these stories come from.

“Candreva has never been on the market and we have absolutely no intention of selling him. The same goes for Perisic, who is an important player and we are currently discussing a new contract with him.”
