Is Chicharito set to become Manchester’s most hated?

It’s been 51 years since it last happened, but could Javier Hernandez be set to leave Manchester United and join Liverpool?

The Mexican striker has found himself out of favour at Old Trafford and despite a seemingly successful loan spell at Real Madrid, the Spanish side opted not to make the deal permanent.

A number of other sides had expressed interest, including Sevilla who decided a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Ciro Immobile would be better, but none have borne fruit meaning Liverpool are now a viable option for the 27 year old.

The Guardian claim that Liverpool, up £49m from Man City’s signing of Raheem Sterling, will look to sign Hernandez in an attempt to boost their front line.

Hernandez is currently out with a broken collar bone, but could seal a move to Anfield later in the transfer window, becoming the first player to do so since Phil Chisnall in 1964.

A fan favourite but no longer part of the first team picture, how would you feel to see Hernandez at Anfield?

  1. Nothing wrong with signing him even if he is an ex Manu,
but I would still prefer Charlie Austin.

  2. The MU fans have been great, and Chicharito appreciates that. But, I am sure he would love to show Moyes and particularly Van Gal what they missed and their lack of intelligence to judge the abilities of Hernández. I hope he plays for another PL team and scores lots of goals against MU. he certainly will not celebrate those goals because he respects and loves MU fans, but he will be glad to exhibit the foolishness of Van Gal and Moyes!!!

  3. He has been my favourite player ever since Lord fergusan brought the little pea from Mexico ,I would rather see united pay him to play in the Sunday league, than go to bin dippers
