Manchester United supporters displayed a sense of frustration on social media after Anthony Martial produced a non-existent performance against Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night.
The Frenchman was offered a rare starting spot with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku injured but he did very little during the game to impress Jose Mourinho.
Martial’s future has been up in the air for somewhile and his latest display is unlikely to put him in the reckoning for a regular role for the remainder of the campaign.
Martial and Rashford fan boys have been silenced today, they’re both as bad as each other, they’re both not first team standard. Reality.

Mourinho: “Everyone always asks, why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku? Tonight, you have your answer.”
Digs aimed at Rashford and Martial.

Both Marcus Rashford and Martial fail to deliver on the night, but the latter’s future has been mostly talked about, having failed to make any noticeable impact since the start of February.
The Frenchman was earlier deemed to be unhappy with Alexis Sanchez slotting into the left side of the attack but against Brighton, he was largely disappointing in the same position with right-back Bruno dominating him.
Despite this, Martial’s future appears secure for next season at the least with Mourinho recently affirming that he doesn’t have plans of selling off his existing players during the summer.
